Gay Marie Scanlon is an author and illustrator who has lived in CT for 20 years. She graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and has experience working with a variety of art mediums. Only recently has she put most of her free time into writing and illustrating her first children's book. Writing and publishing her children's books has been a lifelong goal.

 Gay enjoys writing and illustrating children's books with a focus on nature.  She is passionate about sharing her love of nature with young readers and inspiring them to explore the world around them. Her attention to detail can be seen in all of her beautiful and colorful illustrations.
